Small UI-Design-Error (Volume change with the mouse wheel)

Anoniem 12 jaar geleden bijgewerkt door Michael (Ramen Software) 7 jaar geleden 2

A small hickup in Taskbar Tweaker (v4.1): The option to enable volume change with the mouse wheel should have a radio button, not a checkbox.

This was intended.

If I'd use radio buttons, I'd have to add a third one witch says something like "Off (default)", which doesn't add much value, IMO.

Also, I might add another option here in the future, e.g. the start button. Then, you could choose both the notification area and the start button, but when you choose the whole taskbar, the other two gets unchecked. This won't work with radio buttons.

In v5.1, the text was changed from "Ctrl+Win+Tab (Windows 7)" to "Win+Tab / Ctrl+Win+Tab".

Make the “Decombine:” settings respect the taskbar inspector “show labels”, “combine”, and “group” always/never switches.

Edward Fox 12 jaar geleden bijgewerkt door Michael (Ramen Software) 12 jaar geleden 0

It would be very useful If the “Decombine:” settings respected the taskbar inspector “show labels”, “combine”, and “group” always/never switches. For example I use “Decombine:”  “Active group” and “On mouse hover” with “...and show labels” for identification purposes, however the Image editing program gimp (I use v2.6 [v2.8 is bad never use it]) shows the image as the taskbar icon, But when I set gimp to "never show labels" the the labels show anyway on mouse hover or if the group is active

This is a situation where two opposite "always do" options are turned on - never show labels for gimp, and always show labels for decombined items. One of them must win.
Until now it was the latter.

I made it so that it would depend on the global labeling configuration:
If your taskbar configuration is "Always combine, hide labels", never show labels for X wins. Otherwise, always show labels for decombined items wins.

In short, it's fixed in v4.1.7 :)

Pinned _shortcut_ position not properly restored with virtual_desktop_order_fix set to 1

Ada 2 maand geleden bijgewerkt 2 maand geleden 2

Please note:

For this report, please note the distinction between "application shortcuts" and "running application icons". I searched and found similar bug reports here (all fixed), but those were strictly relating to "running application icons".

Explanation of issue:

I have application shortcuts with custom icons that I use as separators in my taskbar. It seems, with virtual_desktop_order_fix set to 1, the positions of these shortcut icons are not saved across virtual desktop switches. The other icon positions seem to be preserved as expected, though!

Desktop 1:

Switch to Desktop 2 (no surprises yet):

Desktop 2 - Reorder Application Shortcuts (my spacers, little heart icons):

Switch to Desktop 1 (restores as expected):

Switch back to Desktop 2 (Application icons are reordered from how they were left, now matching Desktop 1):

As you can see, the "running application icons" are preserving their position for each desktop, but the "application shortcuts" are not.

Here are the shortcut properties, in case it's relevant:

Image 609

And the executables themselves are just empty files that I renamed with a .exe extension. Each shortcut has its own fuax .exe that it targets. I don't actually run them, obviously, they just act as separators. But beyond these separators, I think restoring order of application shortcuts is important in general.

Thank you for looking!

Set different colored icons for multiple windows of a software (e.g., VSCode) to differentiate them.

drag_towards_desktop causes Explorer crash

scbunker 3 maand geleden bijgewerkt door Michael (Ramen Software) 3 maand geleden 1

I have drag_towards_desktop set to Close (entry 4). It works fine on most apps, but when I use it on an Explorer window, Explorer restarts. It should close the window only, not restart Explorer.

I'm on Windows 11 running ExplorerPatcher.

AnyDesk in Win10Pro duplicates icon in Taskbar

JonSmythe 3 maand geleden bijgewerkt door Michael (Ramen Software) 2 maand geleden 27

HI!

I have AnyDesk in my Win10Pro pc Taskbar.  I use it frequently.

When I click it, another AnyDesk icon opens in the Taskbar

           --and--

this 2nd AnyDesk icon is positioned to the far right of the Taskbar.

I click 7+TT's "Taskbar Inspector," find the 2nd AnyDesk entry, right-click it, click
"Change Application ID," find the original AnyDesk icon, click it, & the two AnyDesk

icons merge into the original AnyDesk icon's position, saving me Taskbar space :-))

But, when I reboot the pc this setting is lost and I have to go through all the steps again :-((

How to make this setting stick, permanently . . . to remain through reboots?

Here's my current settings:
