You can use the “-hidewnd” command line option. It should be added automatically if you choose to start the tweaker on startup when installing. Perhaps you configured it manually.

Drag to re-order pinned items (jumplist)

ITAIC hace 4 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 4 años 1

In Win7 you could re-order the pinned items (ie. jumplists), but this was removed in Win10.

Atm the only way to re-order pinned items is to unpin every item for a given program, then re-add them manually in the desired order.

Would it be possible to add the re-ordering feature back in?

Could not load library (5)

Micah Lindstrom hace 4 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 1 año 16

I occasionally get this error and have to close and re-open 7+ Taskbar Tweaker for it to load properly. Not a dealbreaker by any means, just an occasional nuisance.

I'm using a portable install with a shortcut in %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup to get 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to run at startup.

Fixed in v5.13.

Under "Hovering", "List" doesn't work

PaulVeggie hace 4 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 4 años 1

Under "Hovering", when I choose "List", it shows a tooltip, not a list. It used to work a few months ago. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, doesn't work anymore. BTW, I love your product!

Double Click On Empty Space (Win 11) (Dual Monitor)

atabrkcmunal hace 4 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 4 años 1

In Windows 10, when I double-click on empty space, it was going to the desktop just on the impacted monitor and it was good. However, in Windows 11 (ExplorerPatcher) when I do it, it goes to the desktop on both monitors. Could you please fix it?

Crash and Recovery bug?

Anónimo hace 4 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 4 años 2

There is a bug for me for the option: disable_taskbar_transparency, which keeps reset itself to the value of 1 whenever any of these happened:

  • The windows services for dwm and the service called Theme, i believe get restart manually, or "crash" and restart due to out of memory etc.
  • Possible forced AERO to be off
  • Possible modified registry entry to force AERO on, as well as modified timeouts etc..

PS Need more tests on can't auto set taskbar width after booting when using dual screens etc. to investigate into the recovery of settings to the explorer hooks...

to prohibit system go to sleep mode

Евгений Расторгуев hace 4 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 4 años 1

Hi! It`s very useful program for me, thank you for that! I have the suggestion - i think it is not difficult for you to add a function for change keys in Windows registry to prohibit system go to sleep mode, if you dont mind. Best regards!

Sorry, but it's unrelated to the taskbar and is out of scope.

there's no way to tell the difference between two groups

Anónimo hace 4 años 0

after decombine and/or ungrouping because of clicking the never of both group and group pinned items in the inspector, the items splited into serveral group would have the exact same application ID if they are opened through the same method by the explorer etc.., with which having no difference to tell them apart whenever another changes in the ID needed to make, or to group back. With this to say, anything ungrouping shoud be immediately assigned with a random_group_# so that they can be identical to each other in terms of the ID.

PS interesting behaviour related to ungrouping that could be addressed in the further future...

"The Taskbar in Windows 11 is very limited compared to the one in Windows 11, currently there is no native way to ungroup the taskbar icons and the drag and drop function is also missing. The good news is, Microsoft have listened to the Insiders that tested Windows 11 and they are now testing that functionality and so we should receive that in ..."
