Fixed

19042 with KB4565503

Anthony Albert 4 years ago updated 4 years ago 16

I've been running Taskbar Tweaker 5.9 with Windows 10 19042 since the middle of June without any problems, but after installing KB4565503, I get an error:

7+ Taskbar Tweaker: Could not load library (1004)

Library initialization failed, perhaps your Windows version is not supported.

I tried Beta version 5.9.0.5, and then I get a different error:

7+ Taskbar Tweaker: Could not load library (5)

Library initialization failed, perhaps your Windows version is not supported.

If I run as admin (since error 5 is access denied), I get the 5.9 version 1004 error

Answer

The incompatibility is fixed in the newly released beta version, 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.9.0.6.

An option to tweak Aero taskbar appearance

shought 10 years ago updated by RetiredEngineer 8 years ago 2
When using certain Windows 7 Aero themes (aka visual styles) there is these Aero stripes, I would like to hide those, and also make Windows 7 Aero taskbar completely transparent, so it would look like glass.

Place some applications in the opposite end of the task bar.

Possibility to attach certain applications to the opposite end of the task bar. This way you get two areas, first one near the Start button, another one in the system tray area.

Posting the project on GitHub

If you want free assistance on developing this project, you should put it up on GitHub so the community can fix smaller issues that affects only them, then submit pull requests to you.

Instad of just having a large list off issues to track yourselv, you would also have Pull Request fixing these issues. That way issues that affects us developers, we can fix ourself. At no effort of yours.

Change the location of the start button

Anonymous 9 years ago updated by V@no 7 years ago 2
Hi,

I would like to request an option to change the location of the Start button, like:
Show Start button:
  • default
  • at beginning of the taskbar
  • at end of the taskbar
  • at end of the taskbar after the notification area
If you dock the taskbar to the side, the start button shows on top:

The Start button at the top of the taskbar it's a bit unpractical, it would be nice if the button was at the bottom of the taskbar.

As a bonus if it reorder the button from bottom-up instead of top-down, it would be nice too.
Perhaps even change the left-to-rigth when the taskbar is docked at the bottom or top of the desktop (I don't really need this though).

Save window position/size and relative taskbar button order.

Anonymous 10 years ago updated 8 years ago 2
Please provide a feature (paid or free) to allow of saving program window position/size and it's taskbar button location relative to others.

This would be useful for those of us with long running programs that we arrange in a predictable pattern on system startup. Currently I accomplish the automatic window placement with 'AutoSizer' (http://www.southbaypc.com) but still manually re-arrange the taskbar button order.

Be great,

Disable Taskbar always on top

Jáchym Toušek 11 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 7 years ago 42

I'd like to be able to disable taskbar's always on top feature because I'd like to have a virtual desktop manager (namely Altdesk) on top of it. See screenshot fo my taskbar.

It's very convenient to use if you need to work on multiple projects at once. Taskbar Twaeker could make it easier.

There is an old topic how to do it here but the solution does not work after some windows updates and also probably does not work under win8.
