Windows 7 vertical taskbar with mutiple columns like in XP

Ability to run application or (even better) trigger a media button on clicking on empty taskbar space
Like in title.
I'd like to be able to middle (or double) click on empty taskbar space to trigger a media key (to play/pause music) or to run specified application (to use external application to play/pause music). I've read help file, found no option to do that. Shouldn't be too hard to implement.
Thanks :)
Let's assume that we want to launch explorer every time we hold Ctrl and left-click the taskbar. Here's how it can be done:
- Add the shortcut to the Advanced Options editor, and set the data to an unassigned value, e.g. 1000.
- Hold Ctrl and left-click the taskbar (or use the click that you have set). If it was done correctly, Notepad will be launched.
- Open regedit and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\7 Taskbar Tweaker\Strings
. You'll see thecmdline_1000
value, where 1000 is your number. The value data will benotepad.exe
, which is the default command line generated by the tweaker.
If you're using the portable version, look for the value in the .ini file. - Set this value to the command line you'd like to be launched for the click that you have assigned. In our case, the new command line will be
explorer.exe
.
7 + Taskbar Tweaker gives an error message after updating Windows 10 to the new 2004 version
I restored to the previous version of Windows. Uninstalled 7+Taskbar Tweaker, then reupgraded to 2004. No error message. Reinstalled 7+Taskbar Tweaker and got the same error message at the end of the install before running 7+.
Windows 10 Version 2004 support was added in 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.9.
multi-monitor features - drag between monitors, pinning and tray icons on secondary monitors
Great program, and heres a few multi-monitor suggestions.
It would be nice if i could drag a window to another monitor, by dragging its taskbar icon over to the other taskbar (w8/8.1). And possibly allowing icons to be pinned to secondary taskbars (via dragged from the primary)
Also if theres a way to add the notification area to other taskbars, I would love to have it included. (dedicated topic here)
For Win8.1U1: New option to always show/always hide labels for all Windows Store Apps on the taskbar
(And no, I don't want to manually change the behavior of every App with the Taskbar Inspector.)
I hope that there is an attribute that you can grab all WinStoreApps easily. I saw in the Taskbar Inspector that (maybe all) WinStoreApps have an exclamation mark in its AppID.
Thanks for your attention RaMMicHaeL :)
Mouse wheel volume control for a specific application instead of global
taskbar to change the volume of Windows Media Player. I don't know
exactly how difficult this would be but since it seems your existing
function already hooks into the Windows Volume Mixer, just for the
global sound rather than an individual program's volume, it doesn't
seem an unreasonable suggestion to me I think.
Combine/Decombine by Ctrl/Shift/Alt + Mouse Click
Now Combine/Decombine is done automatically and only about one group.
My request is to bring it to user selection.
The user could choose for each group to Combine/Decombine by choice.
Remove 3 dots from application name
