Volume control not affecting global volume once focus in sndvol.exe has changed

Anonym 10 år siden opdateret af Michael (Ramen Software) 10 år siden 1
If the volume control mixer (sndvol.exe) is already opened and the volume control slider for a specific application has been moved manually before, scrolling (while hovering over the taskbar) to change the global volume will instead affect the application's volume only, as the application's volume control slider is still focused.
Following option has to be enabled to see this behaviour: "Other taskbar options" -> "Mouse wheel" -> "Control volume when mouse is over:" -> "The taskbar"

Tested on Windows 7 x64

Remove extra gap between open programs icons too

Anonym 12 år siden opdateret af Michael (Ramen Software) 12 år siden 0

The "Taskbar Items > Pinned items > Remove extra gap between items" function currently applies only to closed pinned programs. It could be good if it applied to open programs too, both pinned and not pinned.

One could also say, though, that having even dozens of icons "without extra gap" could leave much unused space beyond the rightmost icon: an "auto-sizing" function could be needed in that case, to always benefit from the whole empty taskbar space.

Clicking task bar opens explorer.

Вадим Некто 12 år siden opdateret af Michael (Ramen Software) 12 år siden 1

Add the "open explorer" action for double/middle click on task bar. Take into account that not only explorer can be used as a file manager.

Добавить действие "открыть проводник" для двойного/среднего щелчка по панели задач. При этом учесть что в качестве файлового менеджера может использоваться не только Explorer.

Scroll up on taskbar items to maximize corresponding window

Michael Crabtree 11 år siden opdateret af Michael (Ramen Software) 11 år siden 4
Just like you can scroll down on taskbar items to minimize, and up to pull up the window.. you should be able to scroll up again to maximize a window if it's not already maximized!

Reserve Space On Taskbar or Shorten Taskbar

Anonym 11 år siden opdateret 11 år siden 4
An option to reserve space at the end of the taskbar so it's possible to place Rainmeter or similar widgets over the taskbar without covering tray icons. I gave up on the Windows clock and made my own with Rainmeter. Also thinking about using it for Network, Volume, etc instead of the bad windows tray icons and being able to place them on top of the taskbar would be ideal.

This idea or something related may very well be the best solution for the many people asking for better various tray icons. Rainmeter works extremely well for those things, and is actually very simple, and lightweight. Just need a way to integrate it into the taskbar or taskbar area.

always_show_thumb_labels doesn't seem to be working

Anonym 11 år siden opdateret af Michael (Ramen Software) 11 år siden 7

The registry option "always_show_thumb_labels" doesn't seem to have any effect.

I'm using 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v4.3.1.

Also, is there a way to change the delay before the tooltips are shown. I would like to make them show faster.

Svar

I need more details to try and reproduce it.

Please provide me with:

* Your Windows version - 7/8/8.1 32/64 bit.

* A screenshot of the tweaker's options you're using.

* A screenshot of the taskbar's properties.

As for the hover delay, see:

Install 7TT to Program Files instead of user apppath? Thanks CryptoLocker.

Anonym 11 år siden opdateret af Michael (Ramen Software) 4 år siden 5

Thanks to CryptoLocker threat, I now have the user appdata path locked down so nothing can execute from there.  7TT tries to install to that location and gives up. I use the portable install as a workaround, but would be nice if 7TT offered install of the EXE to the Program Files directory instead. This is just a "nice to have" suggestion, portable is working fine. Thank you for your consideration.

Add option to disable "minimize window" when clicking already active window

Anonym 10 år siden opdateret 1 år siden 11
Because of the bad design of Windows7/8 UI the active window is hard to see on the taskbar. There is just not enough difference between the active window and all the other windows currently visible. (I usually have 10-12 windows opened at the same time.)
It would be great if you could add an option to disable the minimization of any window when being clicked on the taskbar. This still leaves the option to minimize the window by clicking the minimize button on the top right window border.
Svar
That's already possible by using advanced options.
Open the Advanced Options Editor (more details), and add the following value to Mouse Button Control:
Name: taskbaritem|lclick
Value: 1

See the help file for more details.

Add tweak that makes the "show hidden icons" arrow hidden and autohide like start button in Windows 8+

Margen67 10 år siden 0
When you hover your cursor over where the start button is even when it's hidden it will appear and you can click it.  I would like there to be a tweak that lets you hide the "show hidden icons" arrow and hover over it like the start button.
