Task bar unresponsive (7 seconds) when toggling from visible to auto-hide(using empty space middle click).

Answer

Tray clock stays highlighted after click

Tray clock stays like this after clicking it no matter what you try to do after. Exiting 7+ TT brings it back to normal.

just like with older versions of taskbar tweaker, when multiple tabs of a browser is opened, left click on that ie in taskbar should go to that last tab looked at rather than a tab view of all the tabs for you to choose

Anonymous 9 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 8 years ago 2
please fix taskbar tweaker to open browser on left click in taskbar to that last tab looked at rather than a thumb view of every tab opened and you then have to choose which you want it to open to

7+TT is getting rid of the folder name in the taskbar for Windows Explorer windows

Anonymous 10 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 10 years ago 3
For some reason, 7+TT causes all taskbar buttons for Windows Explorer to just show a folder icon, instead of showing the folder name. I need the folder names so I know what I'm clicking on. Is this on purpose?

So that the Taskbar when pinned to the side has the same size as a Taskbar moved to bottom/top.
Answer
That's already possible with the advanced option "no_width_limit".
See help file, Advanced options -> OptionsEx for more details.

Narrow taskbar (no_width_limit) not remembering width on restart

NinoZachetti 10 years ago updated 10 years ago 6
Is there a way for 7TT to remember the narrow taskbar width upon restart? Currently it doesn't on my install, but would be an great improvement if it did.

Thanks for the great utility!
Answer
The tweaker should remember the width upon restart. What OS are you using?
Also, please check whether the following registry value is being created:
last_taskbar_width (DWORD) in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7 Taskbar Tweaker

Latest release and newest beta seems to have tooltip problem on Windows 8.1.1.

Anonymous 8 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 6 years ago 2

With the taskbar set to autohide, tooltips for taskbar items often end up, for a while, at the very bottom of the screen, once the taskbar has disappeared.

Do please keep up the good work.

Icons flickering when the whole taskbar is filled with tasks

Anonymous 11 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 11 years ago 7

When I got a lot of open programs, and the taskbar is so full that the icons/buttons have to be shrunk, the graphics on the icons begin to flicker when moving the mouse over them and some buttons start to be without an icon in general.

This doesn't happen while 7tt isn't running and the Win7-taskbar is set to not group.

Grouped application instances change sequence

Anonymous 11 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 11 years ago 4

I've been using 7+ Taskbar Tweaker for a long time without any problems but recently I've been having the one I'm about to describe, it may have something to do with Office 2013. I use Excel quite a lot and constantly open and close  different worksheets. There are some which I always have open so I like to have them arranged in a specific sequence. When I was using Office 2010 I never had this problem but now from time to time grouped items will rearrange themselves. Unfortunately I can't spot when exactly it happens or whether I do something specific. I know the major change between Excel 2010 and 2013 which I like a lot is that Excel windows are now independent which solves all alt+tab problems among other things. Maybe this has something to do? I tried disabling grouping by Application ID and then the problem doesn't seem to occur but this doesn't work for me so I didn't test it for very long.

Answer
There's a bug in Windows which may cause unresponsive windows to move to the right end of the taskbar/group. Maybe this is the cause for the behavior you're seeing.

I do not think it's a bug of the tweaker. You might want to try running with it turned off, and see if the issue still occurs.
