Transparency Options

Currently I'm using TranslucentTB, but it would be fantastic if these options were integrated directly into taskbar tweaker.

"Combine grouped buttons" breaks when switching Windows 10 virtual desktops

Mixsynth il y a 7 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 7 ans 6

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open 2 or more new windows of the same program

2. Under Windows Taskbar options, set "Combine taskbar buttons" option to "Never"; your windows should be shown as separate taskbar buttons

3. Under 7TT options, set "Combining" option to "Combine grouped buttons"; your windows should be combined under a single button

4. Hit WinKey+Tab and click "New desktop" at bottom right

5. If you a) hover over your previous desktop, b) click to switch back to your previous desktop or c) use WinKey+Ctrl+Left/Right to switch between desktops, your windows will no longer be combined

Solution

Fixed in 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.4.

With grouping disabled, show labels only when multiple app instances are open

Honza Salajka il y a 8 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 4 ans 1

Following image describes it the best:

Image 127

Since Chrome, Explorer and Notepad++ have only one open instance their label is hidden. Since Opera has two open instances the label of each instance is visible.

To me, it would have many benefits:

  • Single instances labels would be hidden because in most cases they are quite useless, saving some of the taskbar space
  • Multiple instances labels would be shown, allowing user to distinguish each instance. As a result, user would instantly know in which instance he/she is switching to
  • User would have permanent overview of what is open (no combining)

Similar behavior can be currently achieved by following settings:

  • In Windows Taskbar settings:
    • Never show labels
  • In 7+ Taskbar Tweaker:
    • Group by Application ID
    • Combine grouped buttons
    • Decombine active group
    • Decombine on mouse hover
    • ... and show labels

With these settings, labels are always hidden and multiple instances are grouped and combined. If you hover over a group, it becomes decombined while all the labels are shown.

However it doesn't satisfy my needs as it has few major disadvantages:

  • When switching windows you have to first focus on group you are switching to and hover over it, then you have to refocus and select particular window
  • You don't have permanent overview of open windows

For the reasons mentioned above I would like to be able to apply following settings:

  • In Windows Taskbar settings:
    • Never show labels
  • In 7+ Taskbar Tweaker:
    • Don't group
    • Don't combine grouped buttons
    • Show labels when multiple app instances are open (new feature)

Please add an option to show keyboard layout with Small Taskbar Icons.

Anonyme il y a 8 ans 0

By default Windows 10 shows "Eng US"/"Eng UK", but with Small Taskbar Icons enabled it becomes just "Eng", which is not informative of current layout.

Add delay before decombine-on-hover

Anonyme il y a 8 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 3 ans 1

Without such a delay, navigation is hard. For, if one is moving the pointer to some icon I1, and icon group I2 lies between the current pointer position and I1, then I2 decombines when one is en route, which somewhat confounds and makes the navigation process slower.

Solution

Thank you for the suggestion. Closing as a duplicate of this topic:

could not load library V. 5.1

PedroxCurti il y a 8 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 8 ans 3

I tried restarting my pc, re-installing the app, but it didn't work. It says, could not load library and I can't see the error number. I saw other answers but didn't work out with me. Can you Help me?

Solution

It was probably caused by the Anniversary Update of Windows 10, which is not supported in the final version at this time.
