Disable scroll bar when apps exceed taskbar size (allow smaller icons+labels or more rows)

Anónimo hace 9 años actualizado por vertigo hace 7 años 1

I am currently using the task bar vertically, but it bothered me horizontally to, I'd love for that pesky scroll bar to disappear (the one that when you open 1 extra app than space required and boom, 10 apps here, 1 app there) .

Anyway: dynanic icon size based on a max(normal icon size, taskbar / num apps open)

Or another awesome thing is to allow multi row taskbars like the horizontal.

Hide unused context menu items

Anónimo hace 9 años 0

Windows 7 right-click on taskbar context menu items: "Cascade windows" "Show windows stacked" "show windows side by side". I hate these useless functions appearing on the context menu of the taskbar. Please add a way to remove or hide them, or tell me how I can do it now.

delay in collapsing grouped windows?

Anónimo hace 9 años 0

I'm not sure if this is possible yet, but it would be nice if there was a way to set a delay in collapsing grouped windows. For instance, I have my Explorer folders set to always group and when I hover over with the mouse it will stay open, however if I veer slightly they collapse immediately, which has caused some frustration in selecting one of the folders. If I could set a delay, of say 3 seconds, so if I over over them they will un-collapse like normal, and not collapse again for some selectable amount of time seconds (perhaps also collapsing once I've clicked the mouse button?) I feel that would be a great feature that would alleviate the only frustration I've encountered using this feature.

thanks!

Add 7+ Taskbar Tweaker's main mindow to the option of things to show when middle/double clicking on empty space please.

Anónimo hace 9 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 9 años 4

Hi, I'd like to be able to set the option for middle or double clicking on empty space on the taskbar to show 7+ Taskbar Tweaker's main window.

Please add this option.

Please add possibilities to change the style of some explorer elements

Anixx hace 10 años actualizado hace 10 años 1
There is a great open-source utility Zero Dump but unfortunately it is abandoned. With this utility it is possible to modify contril styles of the running windows. Particularly, it is possible to make the FolderView in Windows Explorer in Vista+ to appear like in Classic Windows, with the 3D border around:

This can be done by setting the property "Client Edge" in the extended style tab in ZeroDump. This sets the control style to the value 56001348.

Unfortunately the utility can do this only with one Explorer window and every time the procedure should be repeated manually. It would be great if 7+TT could do the same every time it loads.

Another issue is that when disabling the themes under Windows 8+ with w8classic utility (http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=113024) the taskbar becomes of incorrect color and the top edge invisible.  This also can be fixed with Zero Dump, but again, only manually. It would be great if 7_TT would incorporate this feature, and also (optionally) the feature of w8classic theme disabler (the source code is available in the same archive).

Dialog does not support DPI scaling

Anónimo hace 12 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 4 años 5

When using scaling higher than 100%, the settings dialog shows fuzzy font, which I'm assuming is due to not supporting rending the dialog with proper scaling. I'm using 175% scaling.

Done in 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.9.1.

Double-click Taskbar button to toggle maximize/restore

Anónimo hace 9 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 9 años 4
I often need to very quickly maximize or restore a window (usually in the context of some time-sensitive matter like a game or some such). To facilitate this, I have written an AutoHotkey script to let me use keyboard combinations which does help speed it up, but I always end up wishing that I could simply double-click on the windows’ Taskbar buttons to toggle them between maximized and normal.

Unfortunately, I am having trouble finding a way to identify the window of the Taskbar button that has been clicked (I cannot get its handle), so I have not been able to write an AHK script to do that. Therefore, I figured I would appeal to the Taskbar authority and just request that this function be added to the existing Taskbar tweaker instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

(In addition to speeding up time-sensitive activities, this would just be more convenient overall, so I am surprised—or perhaps not—that Microsoft never thought of it.)

Make easier way to move task/tab to new group (uncombined context)

LongtimeUser hace 10 años actualizado por Michael (Ramen Software) hace 9 años 4
I have all my tasks grouped but uncombined.  I would like to manually move them into my own groups according to my own workflow (which 7TT allows with right-drag)  rather than the Windows default according to application ID.  But if I want to start by getting just one task out of an existing application group into its own, separate group first, I have an inconvenient journey into Task Inspector, scroll in a long list and try to find the window I was using, right-click it and set it to a 'random' group (new).  Is there already a better way to do this just with mouse?  Once I have the first task in its own new group, I can easily right-mouse-drag other tasks into the same group.

Please can you make it easier to start by pulling that first task in its own, new group?

Suggestion: Put another option in the lists of what to do when double-clicking an empty space, or middle-clicking an empty space, such as: Move active window to a new group here".  Or you may have a better idea directly related to right-dragging.

Note: I understand about the Explorer thing where navigating folders causes the Explorer task/tab to jump out of chosen group and back to default Explorer.exe group.  Other applications would benefit, and if I group an explorer tab it's usually because I'm keeping a particular folder open, so it's likely to stay put while I get any particular job done.

Advanced/another idea - allowing individual groups to be deliberately combined while other groups stay un-combined.  Not interested in combining/uncombining based on mouse hover - that's just disturbing to me (though I'm sure some others like it).

Thank you for a most helpful utility.
