New desktop items / shortcuts position

Anonyme il y a 7 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 7 ans 1

New desktop items / shortcuts should be added to bottom right, not top left. I know you can set the "sort by" by date but only appears to work temporarily and windows seems to forget after a while. Come to think of it i'm not sure if "sort by" even helps at all.

Would much appreciate a fix for this. Thanks for the great app.

Option request: "left click on active task keeps it active"

Leto il y a 7 ans mis à jour il y a 7 ans 2

Hi,

When you click on the currently active task in task bar, it minimizes the currently active task and activates the previously active task. It is the default Windows behaviour, and although some might find it useful to quickly swap between 2 tasks, just by clicking the same task button, I find this behaviour rather unintuitive (who would expect that an already open door would close when you try to open it again).
Precisely with many very similar tasks on the bar (ex. several notepads on similar files), when it is not always clear which one is active: you click the task you want to work with, but since it already was active, you in fact activate the previous one without noticing it, and start working on it unwittingly.
It would be easier if click on already active task kept this task active.

Could it be possible to have an option: "left click on active task keeps it active"

Thank you.
Regards,
Leto

Solution

That's already possible with the Mouse Button Control advanced options. Refer to the help file, and let me know if you need help with it.

How to find the advanced options in 7+ Taskbar Tweaker

Where is the advanced tab? I read you can use it to change the size of the taskbar icons

Solution

I guess you mean Advanced Options.

Right Click on system tray icon

You may read help file.

OptionsEx

w10_large_icons

When using large icons, their size was 32x32 on earlier Windows versions. On Windows 10, the default size is 24x24. This option allows to have 32x32 sized icons again.

Bug/infelicity: when set to auto-hide, the taskbar does not always pop up when overlaid by certain windows

Anonyme il y a 7 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 6 ans 3

The bug is intermittent and seeming affects (but, since it is intermittent, does not always affect) certain applications. Common offenders on my system seem to be Word 2013 and, to a lesser extent, Firefox.
