Ability to tag/title combinations of windows

It'd be awesome to have the possibility to title/tag the combinations of windows. This shouldn't be mandatory, but only in option, when we have a combination of windows that might stay open for a while...

+ If combined with a search functionnality on those tags and/or on windows titles directly, it would be even more useful.

Feature request: Always group and combine even after the application has been closed and reopened.

After running photoshop CS6 I use taskbar inspector to always group and combine that application based on its id. The problem is if I close photoshop and then reopen it the program generates a new id and I then have to group/combine it each time close/open the program. Is there a way for this setting to be persistent between sessions?

What does the random Application ID look like?
You can try win7appid to create a shortcut with a custom Application ID.

Taskbar items -> Hovering -> Nothing.

Hovering does not work

Hovering stops working after sometime, even though "Show thumbnails preview" is selected. Closing and re-opening 7TT does not help.


After rebooting, it works again.

Looks like it's not the tweaker's fault, closing.

Right-clicking icon and then right-clicking task bar will cause Windows Explorer to crash

This is every time. If you right-click on any task bar icon and, while the window is still open, right-click on the open task bar area, the explorer will crash and reset any reordering of windows done. This sucks. Love the product, though, just wish it didn't crash every time I miss-clicked.

Fixed in v4.4.6.2 beta.

I can't reproduce the issue.
Please provide more details, such as:
  • A crash report.
  • A screenshot.
  • Your OS version.
  • Your configuration of the tweaker.
  • Your configuration of the taskbar (Taskbar Properties).

"Show desktop" button options

It would be nice feature if "Show desktop" button would have some options, exeptions, like don't minimize specified app window. I need it on dual monitors, not to minimise window on extented monitor when "Show desktop" button is pressed. Also there is some apps with small windows, that you want always on top, even if "Show desktop" is pressed.

4.4.2 treats every group as combined

Even when setting "Never combine", the group still behaves as a combined one.
For example, even if the group is uncombined, pressing a taskbar button won't bring that window to front/minimize/restore it as expected, but act as on the "Left click on combined" setting.
This bug was not present in 4.4.0
