Thanks for the suggestion, I'll consider it. Note that currently you can use the "Web page" link and click the "changelog" link on that page.
I'll try to reproduce it when I have the chance. To make it easier for me, can you see if there's anything that triggers a bug, such as a resolution change, DPI change, or a newly attached external monitor. Thanks.
Please provide more details. Include your tweaker's settings, and a screenshot (or even better, a video) that demonstrates the issue.
Note that "Group by Application ID" is the default system settings, so by choosing it you say 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to not change anything and let the system use the default behavior, as if the tweaker is not being used.
There's no minimize/restore in the notification area. The notification area contains buttons that applications can create, and these buttons can react to events such as left/middle/right/double mouse click. Several apps hide/show/minimize/restore their window in response to some of the events, so it looks similar to the taskbar buttons, but it's just a coincidence, and is not consistent across apps.
If you want to re-map the whell scrolling event over your notification area to be treated as a left mouse click, for example, you can use a nifty tool called X-Mouse Button Control.
The implementation of hiding the icon is very simple, and I don't remember other users reporting issues with it. Can you try to find a way to reproduce it? Perhaps another program on your computer conflicts with it?
That's the option I already have set. Looks like it's the default.
I couldn't reproduce it. I disabled my sound device, and scrolling over the taskbar launched the Windows troubleshooter. That happens since the feature simulates a click on the volume control icon, and it launches the troubleshooter when no sound devices are available.
What happens on your laptop when you click on the volume control icon? Also, can you make a screenshot of the mostly black window?
What's the build number of your Windows 10? Are you using the latest beta version of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker? Do you have an access code for the experimental support for version 1903?
7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.6.2.3 beta should fix this.

That sounds like a very specific and yet non-trivial feature to implement. I don't think that it will ever be implemented as a feature in the tweaker (sorry), but if you're into programming, you can try using the 7+ Taskbar Tweaking Library for the task.
