7+TT not working on Win10 2004 19041.172
Will give the experimental build error when loading.
Windows 10 Version 2004 support was added in 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.9.
library missing
Great piece of software, worked easily on my old computer, but no I get the error "missing library" on new Acer and therefore can't resize icons. Previous posts say the problem is fixed but I'm versions 5.8 and beta 5.8..0.3 have same problem. ANy help appreciated.
Colorize/Texture Taskbar Buttons in Win 10 (like in Win 7)??
Simple Question, which may or may-not have a simple answer.
I'm one of those folks who have a vertical Taskbar. I tend to have many collections of topics open as I work, and those topics are grouped. With the Win 10 concept of the taskbar buttons being "transparent" the groups are no longer easily apparent. If it would be at all possible to add a "texture" or "shade" to the buttons so they could resemble the Win7 behavior, this would be Wonderful!
The setup I use is OpenShell for start menu customization, and am now using the taskbar "shading" behavior built-in to that. So, able to give the Taskbar background some "depth". Using AeroGlass to skin the window frames, and using 7+TT for the rest! It's worked out well for years in Win7, but now moving over to Win10 the "invisible" Taskbar buttons is the last "sticky point".
If this is not possible, would it be possible to provide an explanation? Not trying to be rude by asking, but genuinely am trying to understand the limitations. Spent a bunch of time understanding how AeroGlass did some things, and even looked through the source code for OpenShell, but found that I really didn't understand enough about the Windows DWM inner workings to try to hack this into that myself.
Much Gratitude!

windows 10 order changes when going between desktops
On windows 10 when taskbar items are in an order desktop 1 and I go to desktop 2 and back the order has been scrambled. Is this something your software can address?
There's an advanced option in the tweaker for this. Please see the following answer that somebody wrote on Super User:
I'm not going to move it at least because it will require a migration of the current issues, and it usually turns out to be ugly (example: imported from Google Code). It also requires time investment, and I don't feel it's a good use of my time.
And even without the import issue, I don't see a benefit in using GitHub issues instead of UserEcho. Perhaps because GitHub is more popular, but on the other hand, it's developer oriented and less average-user friendly. And not only developers report issues about 7+ Taskbar Tweaker.
Centre taskbar icons, especially if hiding 'Start'
Would it be possible to have the taskbar buttons centered in the taskbar rather than left justified. Especially nice if one chooses to not show the 'Start' button.
Thank you for the suggestion. Closing as a duplicate of:

Cycle Through Multiple Rows Of Taskbar Icons
I have so many useful icons on my taskbar that I must first move the mouse cursor over the single-row-setup at screen bottom, then rotate the scroll wheel to view the row of icons I need to access. It would be much faster if a user-definable hotkey could be used to cycle through multiple rows of taskbar buttons.
tray_clock_fix_width=1 not working in Windows 10
Unitl recently, I was using Taskbar Tweaker version 5.5 with windows 7. In "Advanced Options" I had set tray_clock_fix_width to the value "1". This had the effect of removing the day of the week from the taskbar clock.
I am now using version 5.8 with Windows 10, and setting tray_clock_fix_width=1 has no effect.
The tray_clock_fix_width advanced option is created to fix a bug in the Windows 7 taskbar when small icons are used (i.e. when the date is hidden). It sounds like you found a different use case for it, but it wasn't intended and isn't supported.
If you want to change the date format, even though 7+ Taskbar Tweaker doesn't provide such an option, there are several existing solutions. See the Custom date format topic and comments for details.
Disable taskbar tooltips but keep preview windows?
Under "Hovering" there is the option "Nothing" which does the beautiful thing I've long been searching for of disabling Taskbar Tooltips. The problem is that now the preview windows of taskbar icons aren't show (I can no longer preview an opened application by just hovering over it on the taskbar). Is there any way to keep the functionality of preview windows but keep the tooltips disabled?
tray_icons_padding seems to have no effect any more. Is this a bug?
Since a Win10 update recently, tray_icons_padding in the advanced options seems to have no effect. Is this just me?
I wasn't able to reproduce it. Can you try to provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue?
Also, can you check whether other options work properly, to make sure it's an issue with the tray_icons_padding advanced option and not a global issue?
