Left click on combined items uncombines

Anonyme il y a 12 ans mis à jour il y a 11 ans 0

Left click on combined items uncombines and sets all windows to inactive. The grouped items recombine when a window is selected (unless selected window is in that group and decombine active group turned on, then group recombines when no longer the active group), when clicked on again, or when another group is clicked on.

Run At Startup does not work (Win7 x6)

One must put a shortcut into the Startup folder for the app to run. Registry key specifying to run at startup does not work.

Mouse Button Control registry settings... some assignments don't work.

MainTrane il y a 11 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 11 ans 6

I really like the extended support for mouse clicks that you have added to your software Rammichael, but sadly there are some issues.

Most notably, no matter what I assign them to X1/X2 buttons do not execute the desired function.  Nothing happens at all when these mouse buttons are clicked over either taskbar items or the empty space. True for either single or double click settings (x1click or x2dblclick).  My mouse buttons are assigned to the default x1/x2 button commands; and are picked up (even re-assigned) by other programs just fine.

The right click setting also has issues, rdblclick has no effect for taskbaritem.  I'd like to have either the standard menu or jump list on rclick and the alternate on rdblclick...  furthermore, rdblclick doesn't work on emptyspace unless single rclick is changed from its default setting for that location.  For example I changed emptyspace|rclick to open taskbar inspector and only then was emptyspace|rblclick able to open task manager, otherwise nothing would happen when I double-right-clicked on the empty space.  I suspect this latter occurrence to be indicative of what's wrong with taskbaritem|rblclick; as long as single right click is bringing up either the jump list or standard menu, then double right click will not invoke anything.

Thankfully, I haven't run into any obstacles when assign functions to either left clicks or middle clicks.

BTW, I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Thanks,

Jermain

Please add dragging and hovering file over empty taskbar shows desktop (old XP behaviour)

Anonyme il y a 10 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 10 ans 3
I am using Win 7. One thing I really miss is the ability to show the desktop when dragging and hovering a file over the empty taskbar. Any chance to add that please if its not a big hassle? (I know I can do the same over the show desktop notification button, but I want to hide that )

v4.5.7: Added a new advanced option, show_desktop_on_hover, which makes the taskbar to show desktop when a file is dragged over it (similar to Windows XP).

Option to always display titles on previews, regardless of what the "Show Labels" is set to.

Anonyme il y a 11 ans mis à jour par Michael (Ramen Software) il y a 11 ans 1
Now it is always the opposite, making it hard to find windows when the taskbar is full, but labels are set to on for a set of combined buttons.
Solution

There's actually an "advanced option" for that.
  • Right click on the tweaker's tray icon.
  • Choose "Advanced options".
  • Change "always_show_thumb_labels" to 1.
  • Refer to the help file for more details.

Prevent Chrome from moving to the end of the taskbar when full-screening a video

When opening a video full screen in Chrome it gets shoved to the far right of the taskbar, I would like it to keep its position.

Dynamically Remove Gap

Hi, it would be nice if the "Remove Gap" feature could be automatically activated/deactivated

- when either the taskbar is full
- or a number of groups/icons is reached on the taskbar

Group ID memory

Anonyme il y a 12 ans mis à jour il y a 1 an 11

It'd be nice if one could „ask” Taskbar Inspector to remember changed group id so that it wouldn't be necessary to change it everytime 7TT is run and created groups were more persistent this way.

It was already requested:

My reply:
"For the tweaker to remember your grouped windows, it has to be able to somehow identify them, like window title or window class (both are not reliable).
...

Let’s say I have this in my taskbar:
[group: notepad & firefox] [firefox] [group: notepad & explorer]
What should the tweaker remember?"

What you can do is to bind a shortcut with a specific Application ID.
One way achieving it is using win7appid:

Windows key shows task bar rather than opening start menu

Anonyme il y a 10 ans 0
This
one would be really useful to me because I have my taskbar on the
left-hand side of my middle monitor. If I have my taskbar set to
autohide then it's a pain to actually use because it's really easy
to move too far left and end up on my left monitor rather than
bringing up the taskbar and hitting the winkey brings up the start
menu itself which 9/10 times I'm not going for.
