Sorry for the misunderstanding. This is related to a previous discussion I had with RaMMicHaeL.
RaMMicHaeL said that there is more chance to tweak the Pinned Items than the Quick Launch. So I looked for a solution that will give a quick launch functionality through the Pinned items.

Here is other solution. To edit the size of pinned items icons, so that if not active it is small and if active it would be in the regular size (regular button).

As for trigger a media key (to play/pause music), you should use HotkeyP or Skin or Toolbar
