I didn't say it has something to do with Firefox.
I said that you have set Firefox in the list of the tweaker to always show labels.
Please open Taskbar Inspector and check it:

My guess is that you've set Firefox to always show labels.
Please open Taskbar Inspector, right click the Firefox AppId, and check your settings.
That's not a trivial task. I might get to it one day, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen in the near future.
As for the taskbar width, there's the "no_width_limit" advanced option. Refer to the help file for more details.
The modern theme doesn't have a similar problem.
If it doesn't work for you, you must have another issue. Perhaps a conflicting program.
Hi Alex,

Please try v4.4.5.3 (beta) of the tweaker :)
Hi Alex,

Yes, I haven't considered the case of overflowing items.
After lots of poking around, I managed to fix most of it. Please try the following version:

The only remaining issue I know of is that the arrows don't work. That's not perfect, but unfortunately there's no straightforward fix for it. It surely is better than before, and perhaps it's good enough for you.
There's actually an "advanced option" for that.
  • Right click on the tweaker's tray icon.
  • Choose "Advanced options".
  • Change "always_show_thumb_labels" to 1.
  • Refer to the help file for more details.
