Reduce the distance between the icons in the system tray.

I totally agree, this has annoyed me for quite some time. I like the idea of having big widescreen monitors to fit more stuff in the "workflow", and I feel Microsoft did the opposite by increasing the gap/distance between the icons in the Notification Area/system tray. I'm glad I'm not the only one annoyed by this. I have twenty icons or more and it looks weird (and yes, I want them visible at all times, not hide them)!

Finally, that is sooo great to see! Windows 7 remastered! :D

I noticed that when a program adds an icon to the notification area which previously never had one there, the icon has the normal padding. You have to click on the "show hidden symbols" icon to remove its padding too.
This also happens with the 7tt-icon after the automatic restart after updating 7tt.

I believe that what you're seeing is a so-called "Temporary notification source".

The temporary icon is by default more distant than the other icons.
