Add icons to Power user menu

Anónimo hace 12 años actualizado hace 12 años 2

Is it possible to add icons to Windows 8 Power user menu (right click on the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen)?

It's very difficult to find the required command without them, because you have to read every line before you can choose, it'd be a lot faster if we could see their standard icons there.

Thank you!

Taskbar (vertical): Change heights of tasks possible? (mainly: smaller frame around icons)

Anónimo hace 11 años actualizado hace 11 años 1
The Taskbar is vertical. The option to use small icons is set.
But the taks still need more space than nessecary, is the height which every task takes up configurable? Mainly: The frame around the task and the icon, cutting four pixels above and below looks possible and give us a higher task density there. And remove or lower the gap between different tasks (or task groups).
The same could be useful for the horizontal bar too..

Aero peek when hovering a taskbar item

Anónimo hace 11 años actualizado hace 11 años 1
It would be a new option for “Hovering” (the taskbar items).
For now we have :
- Show thumbnail preview (default)
- List
- Tooltip
- Nothing

I was thinking about an option “Show Aero Peek”, which would mimic a mouse hover on the thumbnail preview.

Thanks !

Add ability to prevent opening duplicated windows in "Windows Explorer".

IGHOR hace 11 años 0

It would be great if instead of opening new window with same folder focus changes to previous window earlier opened for same folder.

Also it useful to make hotkey for closing all opened Windows that duplicate already opened Windows in Windows Explorer.
And change color for duplicated folders in explorer on taskbar and window previews.

Grouping - Don't group pinned items extension

Anónimo hace 11 años 0
It would be wonderful if there could be an option to group pinned items in their own group and update its position.  I like to have all my pinned items grouped together at the front of the taskbar although many things such as explorer restarts or reboots will activate the "don't group pinned items" but this is too late because they have already been grouped to whatever application and positioned accordingly.  Having an option that groups pinned items together would resolve this for me and even better, to have an option to allow it to stick the beginning of the bar.

I can't imagine this would be hard to do since we have a "don't group pinned items" but instead to "group pinned items together" etc....

Stack/combine unused application "pin to taskbar" icons to the left so they dont take up so much room on the bottom.

Feature suggestion: fix sticky taskbar bug when using auto-hide options

Anónimo hace 10 años 0
Since 7TT has so many options that fix Microsoft's shortcomings or problems, I thought you might be interested in correcting one bug that has marred Windows versions at least since XP. The issue has been known for a while now, but since I guess very few of us like to keep the taskbar on auto-hide, MS always forgot or didn't bother to address it properly. As of this time I've never tried Win8, so it might actually be fixed in that OS. I am here talking exclusively about Win7.
Here's how the bug presents itself: one needs to have the taskbar set to auto-hide (Right click > Properties > Auto-hide the taskbar). This means that the taskbar will only show up when the mouse is near the edge of the screen where the taskbar is located. There are some applications that populate the systray that ask Windows to display a message bubble, but never actually do so for some reason. The auto-hide options forces the taskbar to be visible when the systray wants to display a bubble, and only allows it to be hide again when that bubble has been acknowleged by the user. Since the aforementioned applications never actually display a bubble the taskbar is stuck in its visible state, and the only way to reset it is to terminate and restart explorer.exe (supposed enabling/disabling of the auto-hide feature as a fix seems to fail to work for most people, me included).
Unfortunately I don't have the name of any program that causes this problem, at the moment. I know for certain that an old version of the gog.com downloader did this, but with more recent ones it has been fixed. It can happen with so many that anyone who's used the auto-hide feature for a decent amount of time has probably had this happen at least once.

A quick googling of "auto-hide taskbar stuck" will show several records of this problem and no real solution found. I thought this would be a great addition to an already excellent piece of software, if it were possible to fix it permanently.

Folders in Quick Launch = show content when clicked

Anónimo hace 10 años actualizado por V@no hace 10 años 6
If a folder created inside %AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\
and then clicked on that folder in Quick Launch toolbar it will open that folder in a window, however if you click on it while holding CTRL it will show content of that folder in a dropdown popup.
Would be nice if 7+ have an option to revert this beheviour: CTRL+Click = open window and just click = open dropdown list

Adding an option to change/remove tray clock padding just like we can change the icon padding would be awesome.
