Weird - now the link works like intended - hm... Anyway - I troubleshooted it by coping a shortcut in the autostart folder - only problem now is that I get the GUI poping up every time I fire up my PC. Is there any -command I could put into the shortcut so that the program opens hidden?

Not really sure if this is the right thing but your link for instructions how to provide the log you asked for seems to be broken - might wanna check that
