I couldn't reproduce the first bug (I'm not sure I fully understood it).
As for the right-clicking - that's how it works for me, it doesn't combine back when a right click menu is shown.
Can't reproduce it on Windows 7 x64, too.
When I middle click on the empty space, it immediately slides down.

That's why I closed it.
There is a new ticket about custom date format:

Thanks for the feedback!
I'd say an alpha/beta stage is an overkill for such a small app.
I thought about implementing a silent update option, which will update e.g. a week after the release, to make sure it's more or less stable.
I don't want to introduce other prefs for the updating process, as I don't think they're necessary - people just expect it to work (KISS principle). I might make it configurable from the registry, though.

My reply:
"For the tweaker to remember your grouped windows, it has to be able to somehow identify them, like window title or window class (both are not reliable).
...
What you can do is to bind a shortcut with a specific Application ID.
One way achieving it is using win7appid:

Let’s say I have this in my taskbar:
[group: notepad & firefox] [firefox] [group: notepad & explorer]
What should the tweaker remember?"

What Windows version do you have?
Does it also hang if you turn on/off auto-hide from the taskbar properties?
WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW will not work, as it doesn't only hide the button on the taskbar.
I'm aware of a way to remove a window from the taskbar (using SetProp), but I don't plan to add it to the tweaker.
Where do you expect me to add this option?
