Support for the recent updates of Windows 10 1909 was added in 5.11.0.1, and will be incorporated in the next non-beta version of the tweaker.

This option is provided out of the box by Windows. Right click on the taskbar and choose to hide the button.

I’ve just released v5.11 which adds compatibility to the Windows 10 May 2021 Update.

I'm not familiar with such a problem. Does it work when you click on the volume tray icon?

If you find a way to reproduce the problem, let me know. For now, you might want to consider using the classic volume control. Refer to the advanced options in the help file for more details.

I support your choice to put it in Ideas rather than Bugs.

Before I add any of your feature requests, which are quite specific to your unique problem, how about the following solution:

  1. Find a command to fix your volume balance, e.g. by using the SoundVolumeView tool.
  2. Create a shortcut for it, or even better, set up a mouse shortcut for it using the tweaker.
  3. Use the shortcut or mouse combination every time the balance is reset.

From the screenshot, I can see that you're using v5.10. Please update to the latest version.

The "Left click on combined item" -> "Cycle through windows" option has a very simple implementation on the tweaker's side - all it does is making the taskbar think as if the control key is pressed when clicking the taskbar items. i.e. it's a built-in Windows feature, and the tweaker merely makes it simpler to use. By the way, holding the control key in this mode brings back the default behavior.

Given the above, it sounds like a Windows bug. Since it's quite specific and quite obscure, I'm reluctant to dedicate time to its investigation, to be honest. Perhaps you can find a workaround that works for you. For example, you can set up a custom mouse shortcut (such as alt+click or drag towards desktop) to show the thumbnail preview.
