Suggestions about update settings

In the "Settings" mini dialog:

  • The automatic update feature has been implemented in version 4.5.10 (April 7, 2015). That is 6 years ago, thus maybe it's time to remove the "(experimental)" text?
  • Indent this "Update automatically" checkbox to the right, and it make togglable only if "Check for updates" is checked.
    • In other words: If "Check for updates" is unchecked, disable the "Update automatically" checkbox (i.e. make it greyed out and untogglable).
    • That would require to make this dialog a bit wider, which I don't think should be a problem.

The new 5.11.2 interface is already an improvement, yet I feel it a bit disturbing. Hard to describe, but it's like one checkbox is affecting another checkbox unexpectedly.

Couldn't you rather grey out and disable the "Update automatically" checkbox when the "Check for updates" checkbox is unchecked?

(I guess why you did it your way: to enable "Update automatically" with a single click. Though I think the less surprising interface would be definitely worth the extra click.)

I can, I just didn't see the need for it. Also, that's how the main UI behave, e.g. with the first two mouse wheel options.
