If you have multiple EXCEL books open in the taskbar, when you hover over a taskbar item and a tooltip appears for an item in the taskbar, 7tt+ does not allow you to switch to another EXCEL window when you first click the left mouse button.
However, if the tooltip is disabled or has not yet appeared, everything switches perfectly! See, fix, the effect of the tooltip on switching EXCEL Windows!
This started showing up recently, it seems, with version 5.8 7tt

Does it happen when the tweaker is not running? Does it happen when all options are off? If not, which option causes it?
Also note that Excel has several cases of special behavior regarding the taskbar. See this topic in which I link to several such cases, perhaps one of them is similar to yours.
No, with 7tt disabled, everything works fine.
I specifically investigated the different settings of 7tt and found that only the appearance of a popup hint blocks switching to the window on the first mouse click.
So if you select the Show thumbnail preview mode (by default) or the list, switching starts to be blocked only when a popup hint appears, and before it appears, you can switch at the first mouse click.

So you're saying that when the tweaker is running, but all options are off (set to default), the issue happens?
Can you please make a video recording demonstrating the bug?

When there is no tooltip for an object on the screen, switching EXCEL Windows works with a single click. If the tooltip for an object in the taskbar appears in time, it switches only with the second click.
I apologize. This is why 7tt doesn't switch to a new EXCEL window in one click. This is the fault of the Punto Switcher program for quickly switching the keyboard and incorrectly typed characters in a different keyboard layout. After disabling Punto Switcher, 7tt operation becomes normal. I will try to install an older version of Punto Switcher, since they previously worked well together.
Good that you noticed it before I began wasting time trying to reproduce it only with Excel.
On your video it looks like indeed the tooltip causes the issue, but you didn't show what happens when the tweaker is not running. The tooltip should appear even without the tweaker. It's just that when the option is set to default, I don't see why the tweaker would cause the issue - it shouldn't have any effect.
Installed an older version of Punto Switcher (2015, V. 414). No, with this version 7tt also works poorly. Please take a closer look at the tooltips in 7tt and why, when they appear and are available, Punto Switcher disables switching EXCEL Windows in one click when a tooltip appears on the screen in 7tt.

Indeed, if you disable 7tt and have Punto Switcher, the tooltip does not allow you to switch EXCEL Windows in 1 click. This is a Punto Switcher problem. I will contact the developers of Punto Switcher.
