Height, Number of Lines, in Taskbar

Kruskal 4 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 4 years ago 3

Many people have the problem of the Taskbar getting resized on startup.  Sometimes back to one line, sometimes to one less line than it was previously. I thought that 7+TT might be a good hook to fix this problem. Upon startup, it could set the number of lines to the value provided on the Options page.

What do you think?

I'm not familiar of this problem. Why do you think many people have it?

You might be able to adapt my taskbar-resize code, which currently only supports a vertical taskbar.

I've had the problem for years, but not for a while. I just got a new laptop, X1 Extreme G2, with Windows-10. It's back.  I Googled it and saw what I remember from the past. Lot's of people reporting the problem, but no solutions found.

I'll look at the Taskbar Resize code, thanks.  I gather from your response that you don't think it is appropriate addition to 7+TT.

It's not that I don't think it is an appropriate addition to 7+ Taskbar Tweaker. It's just that such an addition is time consuming: research (unknown amount of time), implementation, help files. No offense, but I'm reluctant to do this work for a fix which is going to benefit one or two users. I've done this in the past, and in retrospect it's not a good use of my time. I'll keep your suggestion in mind though, and if I see that more people have this problem, I might look at it one day.
