It would be nice to have a few earlier version avaliable for download on the site. (all installation files are named the same so there's no way to know which was which, but I lucked out and still had the earlier installer - - of course it keeps telling me that an update is available)
Please try the latest beta, v5.7.1.1, and let me know whether it works. The latest Windows version build numbers are a bit of a mess, but I think I got it right this time.
It's a different issue. You're using an old insider build of Windows 10 version 20H1. 7+ Taskbar Tweaker supports build 18963 (and maybe newer builds), while you're using 18895. Unfortunately I can't support all insider builds since it's a moving target, it's a lot of work already to only support the latest build.
Thank you RaMMicHaeL Yes using the Beta and completely uninstalling the previous version (I used iobit's Uninstall as well as checking the "remove configuration") and this worked.
Well, Microsoft's done it again. Another update, and killed this again for me now with a Library (5) error. So I went back to my old version which still works surprisingly It is 5.7.1 but an earlier version, Windows Properties: File description 7+ Taskbar Tweaker Type Application File Version 5.5.0.0 Product Name 7+ Taskbar Tweaker Product Version 5.5 Size 437KB Date Modified 5/20/2018
Yep, guess what... MS update killed it again. (107) this time and the old tweaker doesn't work now either. What is the RegEdit for eliminating the pinned icon space on the taskbar????
Bummer on the Registry :( The pinned icon space taskbar reduction is awesome and it's hard not to have it LOL 7++ is 5.8 explorer as I can see is 10.0.180131
This is all I got, there are two locations for Explorer.exe C:\Windows\SysWOW64
and C:\Windows\WinSxS\wow64_microsoft-windows-explorer_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19013.1_none_121ccf404d609610 Not sure why? ANyway here is the screenshot of both with the same number.
The actual file is in C:\Windows, but the version of all of the explorer.exe files is the same. According to the version, you're using an insider build of Windows 10. You need to use the beta version of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker with an access code. Check out the beta version changelog and read about 7+ Taskbar Tweaker and Windows 10 insider builds.
Ok, sad to see. But if I can drum up a few extra dollars I guess I'll try to donate at some point, but sorry, Social Security barely pays my rent. So, for now, I will just uninstall.
Same error for me. Tried the beta but didn´t work
I luckily had the previous version
5.71.0 (I believe) and all is back to normal.

Thanks, i switched to the fast ring and got on 18990 which works, thanks!
It worked installing the beta, but erasing the configuration when uninstalling
Thanks!!
The configuration is kept unless you check the checkbox to remove it when uninstalling.
Thank you RaMMicHaeL

What is the RegEdit for eliminating the pinned icon space on the taskbar????
There's no registry option for that. Also see the FAQ on the tweaker's website.
As for the failure, what's your version of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker? What's the version of your explorer.exe file?
Bummer on the Registry :(

7++ is 5.8

Please check again, it should have a five-digit number after 10.0.
Or just make a screenshot of the file properties of explorer.exe.
