The Feauture "Drag within/between groups using right mouse button" Stopped Working for Me

Anonymous 9 years ago updated by Jorge24 9 years ago 8
I can drag within groups but not between groups when there is more than one item in the group. When there is just one item, I can drag the taskbar group icon into another group and the single item inside it will transfer. However, when there are multiple items inside the group I can't drag the taskbar icon nor the items into other groups. I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit with the latest updates.
I was the one who posted this; just created an account

I can't reproduce it. Could you provide screenshots of:
  • Your tweaker options.
  • Your taskbar properties.
  • The taskbar, where the issue can be seen.
Thanks.
I haven' changed any of the advanced options in 7+TT
Could you send me an old version of 7+TT from like 2 months ago? That way I can see if the issue is happening due to something I've changed on my PC. Thanks

But from your last screenshot, I don't understand what you're trying to achieve. You cannot drag within a combined group with the "Drag within/between groups using right mouse button" option. This option works only with the taskbar items, not with thumbnails.

To reorder thumbnails, you can use the "Thumbnails -> Drag to reorder" option, which is turned on on your screenshot. but you cannot use this option to detach an item from the group.
Oh I see now, I though I could detach an item from a combined group.
What I would like to do is have two different combined groups of windows explorer and be able to move items between them, do you know any way of doing this?
One way is enabling the "Decombine on..." options. This way, when you e.g. move your mouse pointer towards the taskbar item, it will expand, and will allow you to reorder/detach items.
Another way is using Taskbar Inspector, but that's less appealing.
That works, thanks!
