Volume control not affecting global volume once focus in sndvol.exe has changed
If the volume control mixer (sndvol.exe) is already opened and the volume control slider for a specific application has been moved manually before, scrolling (while hovering over the taskbar) to change the global volume will instead affect the application's volume only, as the application's volume control slider is still focused.
Following option has to be enabled to see this behaviour: "Other taskbar options" -> "Mouse wheel" -> "Control volume when mouse is over:" -> "The taskbar"
Tested on Windows 7 x64

I'm aware of that behavior, but I thought that because the situation is rare enough, it's OK to leave it as is. In fact, I can think of situations where you'd like the mouse scroll to change the global volume, and of situation where you'd like it to affect the active slider.
