Looks like it wasn't caused by the tweaker.

Can't reproduce on Windows 8 x64.

What Windows version do you have?

Does it also hang if you turn on/off auto-hide from the taskbar properties?

Win7 x64

Tried from properties, works fine. (some time the dialog window hang but far less than the taskbar otherwise)

Can't reproduce it on Windows  7 x64, too.
When I middle click on the empty space, it immediately slides down.

Strange. I am experiencing no problem at the moment. The dialog windows still hangs a bit but middle clicking is now instantaneous.

The only explanation then is it is caused by another application such as XWindows Dock that use the task bar as orientation point to appear or as a lower screen limit.

I am please right now but sadly most of the time it hangs for some time before I can interact again.

I would be happy to help you since I am a computer science student :)

Would a recording of my screen showing the problem help or is there a debugging mode of some kind in you app?

A screen recording of what?

I can imagine what a 7 seconds hang looks like :)

What you can do is find a way to reliably reproduce the issue. If you think it might be caused by XWindows Dock, experiment with it being on/off.

I don't think it's the tweaker's fault. It's auto-hide functionality is quite straightforward, there's not much that can go wrong.

I thought it may help by giving a look at the dock and the open apps and also as a proof.

It seems to be gone now :P sorry I bothered you for nothing.

I also would like to ask you something else. Open this screenshot: http://prntscr.com/174vxn

As you can see icons take some extra space when only one instance is open even with your remove gap enabled. This could be a secondary options under it.

Is there a way to reduce the used width by the single window apps (Skype in this case) ?
