Double-click speed for mouse button events

deleelee 1 year ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 1 year ago 3

I have mouse button click events setup for ctrl+lclick and ctrl+ldbclick. The problem I have is that, in order for ctrl+ldblclick to work, I have to double-click super fast. Much faster than a normal double-click. So fast I rarely manage it, so the event is constantly being recognised as a single-click. Is there any way to increase the length of time between clicks for it to be recognised as a double-click?

The tweaker uses the system's double click handling, and it shouldn't be any different than any other double click on the system. I'm not sure why you're having this issue, perhaps there's a conflict with another customization tool or some specific configuration. I'm not sure what I can do about it, but if you find a way to reproduce the issue, please let me know.

It definitely requires a much faster double-click than my system setting. I use double-click on empty taskbar space to open Task Manager and it responds to my usual double-click speed. However, what I have since discovered is that it's doing both the single and double click events. So if I have ctrl+lclick set to close all items, and ctrl+ldblclick set open a new instance, it will do the lclick event first immediately followed by the ldblclick event. I hope that makes sense.

I didn't expect anyone to configure both a single click and a double click action for the same mouse button. A double click always begins with a single click which triggers the configured single click action, that's how it works. I'm not sure if that answers it or if there's another issue. I'm closing the issue for now, let me know if there's something else.
