I noticed a similar issue yesterday. I love 7+ taskbar tweaker, one of the reasons is that I can easily set my own window order which speeds things up for those windows I frequently access because I know right where it is (i.e. Outlook mail always first, Outlook calendar always second, Teams always third, etc.). When I discovered the multiple desktop feature the other day, I noticed that the order changes when I switch between desktops. Screenshot of my version / setting is below.
There is a bug when using multiple desktops (happens on Windows 10).
So let's say that:
1. on Desktop 1 you choose to arrange taskbar items in a certain way of your own (including splitting grouped items)
2. you switch to Desktop 2, and
3. when you switch back to Desktop 1 the taskbar items aren't any longer arranged in the way you chose to arrange them in the first place, but the system arranges them in a way of its own
Hi, I'm having a similar issue and found this post. How do you enable virtual_desktop_order_fix that you suggested above? To clarify, the issue I'm having is the order I have the applications pinned to the taskbar jumps around whenever I switch to a different desktop. I'm using Windows 10 and have 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.15.1. Thank you!
To access Advanced Options you have to right-click on the 7+ Taskbar Tweaker notification icon. Then you can change the virtual_desktop_order_fix option.
Note that the order of pinned items isn't remembered as described here:
Please provide more details:

Did you enable the virtual_desktop_order_fix advanced option?
I have the same problem. When switching between virtual desktops the custom order is lost.
Please see my other comment in this thread and answer all points for me to be able to investigate the problem. Thanks.
Using last version 5.11.1.1 (beta) with Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19042
Hi,
I confirm this issue.
There is a bug when using multiple desktops (happens on Windows 10).

2. you switch to Desktop 2, and

Hope it helps to find a fix,
Thanks

Later edit: I did enabled virtual_desktop_order_fix, but did not fix the problem.
