Problem with new Windows build

Owen Taylor vor 4 Jahren aktualisiert von Michael (Ramen Software) vor 4 Jahren 7

Windows 10 updated this week and I am now unable to use Tweaker. It says I have an unsupported Windows build. I have uninstalled Tweaker twice. Any solutions?

Please make sure that you're using the latest version of the tweaker. If not, let me know whether updating to the latest version fixes the issue.

The message when I try to open Tweaker says to try the beta version. Is that the same thing as the latest version?

The latest non-beta version is 5.9.1. The latest beta version is 5.9.1.4. You don't need the beta version if you aren't using an insider build of Windows 10, but you can use it as well.

What version are you running now? You can check that in the about box.

Actually, I uninstalled Tasker and installed the newest version, based on what your site indicated.
With Windows, it shows Window Pro 10, OS build 19041508, Pack 120.2212.310

So you've updated to the latest version, and you're still seeing the error message?

Please provide the following information:

  • The tweaker version, you can see it in the about box.
  • The version of the explorer file. You can see it by opening the C:\Windows folder, right-clicking on the explorer.exe file, choosing Properties, Details, under File Version.
  • The exact text on the error message that you're getting.

I seem to have fixed whatever was happening. I uninstalled and click on remove settings, then rebooted the computer and then reinstalled the latest build...I think it was 5.91. Then I rebooted again. It all seems to be working well. This is wonderful software, and I've never had such great support, even from huge companies like Adobe or Microsoft. I have donted in the past but left something in the offering plate just now, too.
Warm regards,

Thank you for the support and the generous donation Owen! I highly appreciate it.

I'm glad that you like the tweaker, and it's good to hear that you got it working.
