Tray icon spacing with touch screen in Windows 10

Anonymous 8 years ago updated by Michael (Ramen Software) 5 years ago 3

In Windows 10 the tray-icon spacing is increased, when a touch screen is detected. What I´m talking about is not tablet-mode. If the "HID compliant touch screen" is disabled in the device manager, the spacing is reduced to normal.

An option to disable this behavior would be fantastic, since it leads to problems for me (sometimes the clock is pushed out of the screen). Also it wastes space.

The clock out of screen issue is documented here http://answers.microsoft.com/de-de/windows/forum/windows_10-start/darstellungsprobleme-der-infosymbole-in-der/a7461527-6718-42d6-bf3a-2c9ea2e913c9 (in German, but the pictures should show the issue)

It's possible by using the tray_icons_padding advanced option, which is available for Windows 10 since 7+ Taskbar Tweaker v5.2.

I'd really love to see this. The tray icon spacing is actually larger than my pinned icon spacing with "remove extra gap between items" enabled.

That would be great to have, theres a lot of space beeing wasted rigt now.
