I don't understand German, but according to your screenshot, you want this:

Can be achieved with Shift+Right click.
I remember seeing a similar program.
(after some Googling)

I've never used it, so I can't say how well it works, but seems like it does what you're asking.
Currently it's possible to choose whether to combine per AppId, but not per group. While this can be implemented, explorer will have to remember the settings of each group, and these settings will be temporary.

First of all, I believe that using Taskbar Inspector would be a quicker workaround than opening the tweaker and changing settings.

For a more straightforward solution...

1 is not too easy, as the taskbar is not designed to change the options of the tweaker. That's possible, of course, but I'd prefer not to implement that.

2 is also not too perfect, as thumbnails do not always correspond to taskbar buttons, e.g. when an application uses thumbnails to show it's tabs, like IE.

How about this:

I'll see if I can add an option to assign a mouse event to temporary decombining of a single item, e.g. you could set Ctrl+click to temporary decombine a group, and it will be recombined when the mouse leaves.

I agree that it would be a useful addition.

I'll implement it for the next version.

I looked at the issue, and there's a fundamental problem with it:

I've managed to overcome the limitation, but the issue is that the width restores back to explorer's minimum upon system restart. The thing is that explorer starts before the tweaker on system startup, so the tweaker can't prevent from explorer from resetting the width.
